Going to the temple...

Matthew chose to go to the Provo, UT temple for his first time. It was a GREAT day and blessing to the family. Matthew is a STRONG young man, and will be a fantastic missionary!!

Opening the call...

Elder Jones received his mission call on February 15th, 2012. We all were waiting anxiously as he prepared to open it!! Everyone was able to put in their guess as to where he would be serving...but the time finally came...

He got out the machete and started "cutting" it open...

He tried to cover the paragraph that said where he'd be serving...but turned out that he actually read it to himself and kind of out-loud without even realizing it!!

He was called to serve in the Chile Osorno Mission, and to report to the Missionary Training Center (MTC) in Provo Utah on June 20, 2012.

Then he spent time with friends and family looking at the book he was mailed, and receiving congratulations!!

We were all VERY excited and happy for him. And honestly thought June was SO far off when he opened his call...boy were we wrong!!
